Remit:

* As a Technical Quality Manager you will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of quality standards in the thermoforming manufacturing process.

* The role of Technical Quality Manager will include developing and implementing quality procedures to monitor the thermoforming process, including inspection protocols, conducting product tests collecting data and identifying improvements.

* The successful candidate will have experience manging BRC Global Standard including updating processes, conducting audits & ensuring compliance.

* Applicants MUST HAVE experience with BRC standards and legislative systems

Role:

* Develop, implement, and maintain quality control procedures to meet customer requirements and industry standards.

* Maintain BRCGS AA (unannounced audit) certification.

* Monitor and analyse production processes to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective measures.

* Perform quality inspections on incoming materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards.

* Work closely with cross-functional teams, such as production, engineering, and supply chain, to promote quality excellence and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

* Collaborate with suppliers to address quality issues and develop effective solutions.

* Lead investigations into product non-conformances, customer complaints, and internal quality incidents.

* Maintain accurate records and documentation related to quality assurance activities, inspections, and test results.

* Train and mentor production personnel on quality control processes and techniques.

* Stay updated with industry trends, regulations, and best practices to proactively address quality challenges and improve processes.

* Identifying and implementing continuous improvement initiatives, ISO or similar

* Oversee new product launches, ensure the required parameters are achieved.

* Develop and work to KPIs.

* Training & development of production line personnel

* Managing / administrating the Company H&S system

* Identify and implement waste reduction

Experience Requirements:

* Minimum 5 years experience in a similar role within packaging / food manufacturing environment

* HACCP Level 3

* Experience working with BRC Global Standard

* Internal Auditor Qualification

* Demonstrate continuous improvement initiatives.

* Experience of World Class / Lean manufacturing

* Experience with training employees

* Enthusiastic, self-motivated, work on own initiative.

* Proficient use of MS Excel, MS Word & Power point.

* Current, Valid Passport & UK Driving License

Distinct advantages:

* Working experience of Thermoforming / Vacuum forming, plastics or packaging sectors

* Experience of PET & PP materials, - desirable however full training will be provided

* First Aid qualification
