Role Responsibilities
* Responsible for all QC intake checks and pallet identification for incoming stock, internal auditing, daily quality checks and raising of quality issues. Management of small QC/Goods In team, with support from Technical Manager.
Duties
* Undertaking receipt and checking of incoming stock and paperwork, ensuring quality of product is of an acceptable level.
* Issuing of relevant batch labels to incoming stock.
* Completing regular stock quality checks.
* Reporting of issues as per site procedures and record these via an internal tracking system.
* Assisting Technical Manager on site projects, as required.
* Conduct internal auditing.
* Provide information/input for external audits/visits.
* 3rd party quality checks and reports, as required.
Desired Experience/Qualifications
* Intermediate food hygiene.
* Quality experience within fresh produce industry, specifically inspection of produce.
* Awareness of HACCP.
* Supervisory experience and/or proven ability to lead by example.
* Experience of internal auditing (desired, not essential).
* Strong communication skills.
* Eye for detail.
* Good organisational skills.
* IT literate.
* Self-motivated.
* Strong work ethic.
The successful candidate will be someone who is professional, accountable, a good communicator with an eye for detail and a team player with strong organisational skills and work ethic.
Previous experience within a quality role in the fresh produce industry is desired. A good knowledge of all Microsoft platforms is preferable, and full training will be given on our bespoke stock management system.
Working hours:
Shift pattern - Monday to Friday (8am to 5pm), some weekend overtime will be required to cover holiday/sickness.
£12.50P/H Temporary to permanent position once you get on permanent contract wage will be £28.000
