We have a exciting opportunity for an Mechanical Maintenance Engineer for our growing client in York YO19 ,The UKs leading suppliers and packers of potatoes. This is a great Opportunity to join our fast-paced engineering team. We are looking for a reliable and hardworking person to join our experienced Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineering department.

Roles are all immediate starts for the right candidates after successful registration. This is a temp-perm, full time vacancy.

This role has 2 shift available day shift: Tue to Sat 6AM-6PM (60 hours per week) Salary: £19 per hour with a weekly pay £1,140 payed every Friday
or Night shift Mon to Fri 6AM-6PM (60 hours per week) Salary: £22 per hour with a weekly pay £1,320 payed every Friday.

Duties will include: Our engineers must have the ability to analyse and fault-find breakdowns rapidly and perform repairs methodically and efficiently to the best engineering standards, ensuring the respective corrective actions are carried out.

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will be required to: Follow a Planned Preventative Maintenance Programme. Fault finding and emergency repairs to resume production as soon as possible. Participate in the installation of new equipment. Reconditioning, adaption, welding and fabrication of new and existing machinery. Follow company Health and Safety procedures Candidates will be expected to possess: A broad range of mechanical engineering skills. Preferably some experience in fabrication.Good level of communication skills, with the ability to understand and share verbal instruction in English. Able to work as part of a team, and take instruction from line managers and supervisors. Possess good literacy and numeracy skills. Show full co-operation and awareness of company Health & Safety policies and procedures. Be a pro-active individual, with a positive and enthusiastic can do attitude, and be very much a team player. Ensure that all company policies and procedures are adhered to. Access to own transport due to location and live not further than 20 miles away from the site.

About you Candidates should have the knowledge and experience in both Electrical and/or Mechanical Engineering and who has the experience of working as a multi skilled maintenance engineer within a manufacturing environment. You should be computer literate and have excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
