The Role:
Main purpose of role: Dual role in the safe and efficient analysis of process fluids including secondary responsibilities to assist operations team, testing associated systems, isolation of plant and equipment. PMR work, documentation reporting and Log Keeping duties.
Main Duties
* Responsible for the chemical analysis.
* The range of equipment includes, but is not limited to the following:
* Cargo tank H2S and O2 gas sampling
* Ullages and interfaces of cargo/slop tanks measured
* OIW sampling of overboard discharge system
* Profile sampling of cargo oil tanks
* Profile samples measured for BS&W
* Application of process isolation and general operational duties.
* Assist with operational work fronts to include Crude oil washing and crude loading plan
* Carry out the duties of "Performing Authority" P.A. and / or "AAA" affected area authority as per Permit to work system Integrated Safe System of Work. Ensuring isolations are adequately identified, applied, tested, secured, and recording isolation points and method of isolation within Proscient to ensure that Isolation Standards are complied with as per the requirements and Chevron Rules. The Task Risk Assessment (TRA) Process is an integral part of all WCCs and should have knowledge and experience relevant to the activity carry out the Level 2 Risk Assessment
* Monitors and maintain good Housekeeping conditions within Area of Responsibility as detailed in the Company Safety Practices and Procedures Manual
* Safe and efficient isolation of a wide range of discrete packages and equipment including high frequency PMR work, documentation reporting and Log Keeping duties.
* Proactive member of the Offshore operations Team, providing assistance and advice to the FSU cargo Supervisor and installation Leadership Team in order to meet team deliverables and objectives as defined in the asset Business Plan
* Participates in weekly review in preparation of tasks in the 7 day plan prioritising work tasks aligned with asset priorities and daily briefings
* Proficient in generation of isolation work packs, including applying and disconnection of isolations in field
* Regularly makes use of Operation procedures or Smart procedures which shall provide sufficient detail to allow equipment start up, shutdown in a safe manner understanding the potential hazards associated with the process or equipment involved.
* PSSR pre-start up safety review. Reviews content, ensures accuracy, highlights discrepancies in procedures and a good knowledge of Process Safety, able to initiate and follow through MOC and maintenance work order processes where changes are required
* Maintains accurate and comprehensive records including, but not limited to: event logs, daily and trip handover documents, maintenance records, override logs

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* Trade Certification
* Extensive chemical testing operations and competency demonstrated preferably gained in a refinery, Chemical plant or offshore environment
* Proactive approach to HE&S initiatives. Promotes a high level of awareness in self and others
* Experience in process isolation, ability to read and understand P&ID's
* Preferable but not essential experience in FSU, FPSO or tanker.
* Provide visible HES leadership and demonstrate behaviours aligned to the Chevron Way, maintain adherence to the Tenets of Operations and key principles
* Demonstrate good teamwork and interpersonal skills and ability to thrive in a close, multi-discipline environment. Maintain positive and tactful relationships with others
* Demonstrate proactive, flexible and positive attitude. Share knowledge freely with others to ensure best practices

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
* Relevant experience in either onshore or offshore oil and gas industry or candidates with significant experience in similar onshore Hazardous Industries such as continuous processes petrochemical, nuclear or power generation
* The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role and be able to demonstrates knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation and apply it in the workplace
