Location: Fordingbridge
Salary: £22,500 pa
Hours: 8.00am-16.30pm Monday to Friday, with some flexibility around start/finish times

Working with our Client who is a well-established global distributor, we are now looking for a Stores Operative to assist the Warehouse Team on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of warehouse activity, including receiving, picking, packing and shipping goods. You will be able to pick inventory to a high level of accuracy. You will follow standard work instructions and maintain company procedures.
The Stores Operative will follow all HS&E regulations and achieve company objectives and highest level of customer satisfaction while assisting with any other activities that may be considered a function of the warehouse.
The successful candidate will need to:-
* Be able to work the hours stated.
* Be physically fit a lot of standing and walking involved.
* Have excellent timekeeping and be reliable.
* Be computer literate.
* Be able to multitask.
* Be numerate.
* Have excellent communication skills.
* Have excellent attention to detail.
* Be flexible to suit the business needs.
* Be a strong team player.
* Be highly organised with the ability to meet deadlines when under pressure.
Key Responsibilities will include:
* Picking of stock with a high level of accuracy
* Inspection of customer orders to ensure Right first time.
* Packing of customer orders to strict cut off times
* Releasing of orders to couriers
* Undertake cycle counts and stock takes as required.
* Maintain the safe handling, storage, and identification of goods in accordance with relevant procedures.
* Any other Stores duties as requested by the Supervisor/line Manager.
The work can be fast paced, but full training is given. There is a little bit of banter in the stores, so you need to be able to work within that environment.
