And right now, were looking for a Senior Construction Supervisor. Based at Capenhurst site location, youll be reporting to the Project Construction Manager, the Senior Construction Supervisor shall be responsible for assisting in the management, supervision and development of Construction Team

What will your day look like?
Actively promote a pro-active safety culture and be a role model, throughout the project lifecycle and across the Capenhurst site and wider Urenco Group
Work in conjunction with the Construction Manager and project delivery teams to ensure that all engineering works meet the HSSE requirements of the contract
Ensure that the Principal Contractor duties on the project(s) are discharged.
Be appointed as Area Authority in accordance with the SSoW requirements
Drive improvements in project delivery through applying good practice constructability into project front end loading
Work in conjunction with the Construction Manager and project delivery teams to ensure that all engineering works meet the quality requirements of the contract
Ensures that design and construction reviews, are carried out in accordance with Urenco and customer procedures
Work in conjunction with the Project Manager and Construction Manager to ensure adequate resources, in terms of quality and quantity are available to ensure efficient and timely execution of construction activities in line with the schedule
Works within the time schedules, man-hour budgets, project policies, and specifications established for the project or contract
Ensure that the project stakeholders adhere to the overall project quality plan throughout the project lifecycle
Ensure that identified contractors are suitably pre-qualified/ assured for the delivery of the project or contract
Assist in the delivery of engineering/design scope to meet project safety, cost, schedule integration of industry standard construction practices to achieve project and business objectives
Assist in the coordination and evaluation of technical quiries, design changes, specifications and drawing releases
Work in conjunction with the project team to ensure that engineering and construction activities are prepared and planned in advance to meet the plan and budget requirements
As the Urenco subject matter expert on project construction management, able to consult, advise and lead on construction management matters
Assist the Construction Manager, Programme Manager and Snr Project Managers in the development of high performance teams, ensuring flawless integration of all sub-disciplines and functions throughout the project lifecycle
Enhance owner relationships with subcontractors and vendors
Directs integration of construction activities and technical requirements
Be familiar with the basis of the estimate, scope and schedule and identify any potential changes, which may affect cost or schedule, construction as early as possible
Report in conjunction with the Snr Project Manager and Construction Manager on all aspects of the construction, engineering and design work carried out on the contract
Ensure that information required is specified and collated appropriately for input to the construction process
Manages Interfaces with outside bodies and internal stakeholders
Building and maintaining customer relationships throughout the project, handling enquiries and contracts
Conducting and recording customer interface meetings as required
Ensure technical risks are agreed and regularly reviewed with the Project Manager
Manage and provide oversight of construction teams and contractor communities, providing training, guidance and development. Mentor newly appointed personnel
Independently assessing contractors construction management processes against good industry practice and Urenco objectives
Leveraging experience from a number of industry sectors and continuously scan the market for best practice, analyzing developments and assessing how they can be exploited by Urenco to further value creation/delivery/capture/protection
The role will ensure knowledge is retained and transferred inter-Urenco and undertake lessons learned reviews to promote continuous improvement in all project engineering practices
Drive continuous improvement and ensuring quality is always maintained

What do you need to be great at this role?
Educated to Degree level in a relevant engineering discipline
Professional qualification e.g. (CEng) (EUR ING) (where applicable)
NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Safety and Health or similar health and safety qualification
SSOW trained and nominated for the role Area Authority and Isolating Authority (Electrical and Mechanical disciplines)
Temporary Works Supervisor / Coordinator
Management of Confined Spaces
Management of Working at Height
Management of Hot Works
Electrical Isolations
Qualifications relative to your specialist discipline. e.g.
18th Edition qualification (Electrical)
NVQ diploma (Electrical)*
NVQ diploma (Civil)*
NVQ diploma (Mechanical) *
Or equivalent with relevant experience
Minimum 5 years experience working across full project lifecycle experience
Minimum 3 years Construction Management experience
Minimum 3 years working within of multi-cultural teams
Demonstrable success in construction and engineering delivery experience
Excellent knowledge of the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations and proven track record of supporting their implementation on construction projects
Experience of working with, developing and reviewing construction management systems
Experience of successfully delivery of construction and engineering projects within operational environments
Experience of working within nuclear, COMAH or other high-hazard industries, including interacting with relevant regulators
Proven leadership experience and ability to work with minimum supervision
