Force Contracting Services are a well-established Civil Engineering contractor operating across the UK and Europe. We currently have a large Civils project in the Teeside area that requires a freelance site-based Quantity Surveyor to work as part of a strong delivery team. This role is outside of IR35.
Role: Site Based Quantity Surveyor
Location: Redcar, Teeside
Rate: £400/day
Type: Freelance, Outside IR35
Duration: 6+ months
Project Scope:
Sofia Offshore Windfarm - Onshore new build substation on a greenfield site
* Installation of precast concrete troughs and lids on concrete bedding and surround.
* Installation of HV duct (280mm)
* Construction of draw pits and installation of ducting
* Construction of transformer bunds
* Installation of fire hydrant system
* Installation of earthing
Quantity Surveyor Responsibilities (not exhaustive):
* Managing daily applications
* Monthly applications for payment
* Taking part in progress/planning/programme meetings with the client
* Liaising with the client to account for any changes with plant/materials/labour
* Managing contract change
* Working as part of the site delivery team reporting directly to Project Manager and Commercial Manager
Requirements:
* Degree qualified or equivalent
* Minimum 5+ years experience in a similar capacity/civil engineering background
