Fawkes & Reece are aiding a renowned global contractor in their search for a Senior Quantity surveyor to join their Northern Division team on the largest electricity transmission project ever which is based in North Yorkshire. The contractor has been involved in projects ranging from Roads, rail , nuclear , this is the perfect opportunity to join their close-knit team and be apart of a globally recognised project.

They are looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor with experience within Heavy Civils experience in which could include ground works , highways , utilities and it is advantageous if you'd had previous experience within Power and electricity transmission. You will be joining the Commercial team where you will working in collaboration with another contractors to provide the engineering works and technology for the converter stations.The NEC options that are specific to this scheme is NEC 3 Option C but they are looking for a candidate with a good amount of experience , covering multiple options.

Some of your responsibilities are listed but not limited to:

-Responsible for accurate reporting of commercial results of a portfolio of contracts across all levels of the profitability pillar
-Ability to work under own initiative in taking off quantities and taking and recording On Site Measurements
-Responsible for accurate completion and submission and agreement of final accounts
-Management of all contract commercial reporting and submission to relevant timescales
-Responsible for cost Management of the Contract
-Responsible for maximising revenue entitlement under the contract

In order to be successful, you must have relevant experience and/or equivalent qualifications and an understanding of civil engineering work as well as the different forms of contract that are associated within this work. You must also have strong IT skills and a Valid UK Driving License.
