Facilities Lead

We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Facilities Lead to join our clients team in Deeside. Our client is a leading manufacturer in the Paper manufacturing industry and is renowned for its commitment to high-quality paper manufacturing.
This role is responsible for the site services and facilities for our UK Site. You will be responsible for the safe and smooth operation of site facilities specifically focused on services, engineering and maintenance of facilities. You will lead, maintain and continuously improve services to the site including management of service contracts, engineering compliance and key business projects to ensure the site can meet its required output in a safe manner whilst complying with legislation.
Main Responsibilities
Overall responsibility for the safe and efficient operation of site facilities of our Clients factory, offices and groundworks.
Lead and deliver critical KPI measures
Manage site contracts for services and facilities ensuring high quality service and competitive budge management
Liaise with and manage contractors including external contract management and audits. Engaging contractors in liaison and in compliance to the our Clients procurement processes.
Owner of the facilities site risk assessment and insurance actions
Ensure all statutory compliance is adhered to on site
Ensure responsiveness to breakdowns or emergency issues
Provide a link of information between site services & facilities and the rest of the project team
Manage site facilities budget
Active on site contact responding to issues as and when required. Also provide the site with out of hours point of contact and on site presence (also during construction phase)
Lead facilities activity on site including standard work such as ground maintenance and gardening, strategic activity such as long term construction projects and ad hoc emergency work such as facilities repair, in response to events and employee concerns.
REQUIREMENT
Good interpersonal skills with the ability to influence at all levels
Strong numeric and literacy skills
Excellent problem solving, data analysis and interpretation skills
Experience of working within a manufacturing environment
Previous experience working in engineering site service role
Formal engineering qualification to at least HRC / HND Standard
Ability to deal with ambiguity with the skill to develop processes where they dont exist
Networking skills both internally and externally
Strong communication and alignment ability built on a strong foundation of applying professional business communication across a range of platforms / mediums.
Microsoft skills in Office / Excel.
Construction site facilities management including knowledge of CDM 2015
Knowledge of Auto CAD
Manufacturing experience
