We are looking to recruit an experienced HR People Partner. The primary focus of the role is to work closely with heads of function and Leadership teams to build capabilities, plan and manage talent, and develop approaches that achieve shared organisational objectives. You'll need to be a strong influencer, have excellent stakeholder management skills and be able to maintain consistency in everything the charity does; in addition to experience deal with complex ER matters, policy and process, and organisational culture management.
What you will be doing
You will play a key part in partnering with heads of functions and senior managers to support the build and delivery of people plans for specific areas of the charity. Lead and have absolute clarity on all HR activity in areas of responsibility, drive changes to ensure most effective use of people resource and monitor and report on value add. Build effective and collaborative relationships with key charity stakeholders and the overall HR team.
Key accountabilities
People management of HR Advisors; escalation point for any complex people related issues or policy advice queries
Support all HR cyclical activity (e.g. employee engagement, employee relations, diversity and inclusion, learning and development, people analytics, resourcing, reward, performance management, talent management) across specific functional areas ensuring tangible actions are agreed and delivered and success is defined and measured
Work together with HR advisors to ensure consistency of approach across the charity, ensuring case activity is managed in a timely fashion, all SLA's are clear and decisions consistent with defined risk appetite identifying areas of inconsistency or lack of ownership and work with Heads of function and Leadership to address these areas
Manage organisational design activities across specific functional areas in conjunction with functional management
Lead on specific people projects/goals that deliver tangible improvements in the efficient and effectiveness of the people service.
Experience and knowledge (essential)
Degree educated (or equivalent) with significant experience of working in a fast paced human resources function
CIPD Level 7 qualification or MCIPD qualified (desirable)
A thorough understanding of employment law, reward, HR analytics, organisational design, recruitment, learning and development, talent management and HR policy.
Strong relationship building and partnering skills, coupled with the confidence to challenge status quo and recommend and deliver changed ways of working
Experience of managing change and implementing new initiatives
Ability to multi-task, prioritise and be well organised with a strong attention to detail, a high level of accuracy
Skills and abilities
Articulate in demonstrating experience in methodologies and best practice in business partnering
Ability to act as a critical thinker, finding practical solutions to complex people challenges
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
Ability to input to decision making within stakeholder group and provide constructive challenge
