A leading reinsurance company is looking for an IT Support Services Manager to join their talented team permanently. You will be in charge of managing the IT Services team of 5, split between London & Zurich, and our client is seeking a candidate with a hands-on approach, to ensure the IT Service function is delivering as required to facilitate business productivity and continuity. You must understand the importance of the IT Services to the business, the impact any outage may have and be able to communicate this into the overall business continuity plan of the company.
The successful candidate will come from a technical background (Networking/Desktop ideally), have the ability to liaise with both technical staff and the business stakeholders, including working with other global offices.
You will need excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to succeed in this role. The ability to talk with and clearly communicate issues to non technical stakeholders is imperative. You will need to be able to perform the administrative function of the role, including writing and circulating reports/KPIs/SLAs. You will need excellent organisation skills. This includes the line management of the service desk team, including appraisals and setting targets.
Insurance/Reinsurance background is highly desirable.
