Software Project Lead

Location: Stevenage

Work Policy: Typically for this role, you will work 4-5 days on-site.

Salary: Up to £70,000

The Software Project Lead position:

As a Software Project Lead, youll be leading the on-time, -cost, -quality delivery of software for one of their key products. The product is in a maintenance phase, so deliveries are incremental and focused around product improvements eg. robustness and feature upgrades.

Youll technically lead a small team of engineers, leading day-to-day activity and act in a part design authority, part project manager role. Youll collaborate with customers across subject areas including financial and budget control, system design, electronics design, safety, security and quality.

The software is developed in Ada and Rapsody, so youll be supporting the architecting, design, implementation and testing of subsystem software within the team.

Software Project Lead experience required:

* Understanding of UML and C, C++ and/or Ada.

* Ability to technically manage a team of software developers.

* Project management experience in planning, delivery and cost control of software.

* The ability to communicate in the company across a range of mediums.

* Knowledge of software development lifecycle including configuration management tools.

* Able to elicit and understand requirements and available design solutions for accurate and cost-effective estimates of work to be undertaken.
