Nursery Practitioner duties and responsibilities
Nursery Practitioner is a physically active position that requires them to engage with children on an individual level while still supervising the rest of the classroom. Other duties include:
* Planning and supervising fun and educational activities
* Managing a daily schedule that includes activities, toilet breaks, lunch and rest time
* Observing children and taking notes of any problematic behaviour
* Feeding and changing babies
* Communicating with parents and staff members
* Ensuring the safety of children
* Helping children learn numeracy and language through daily activities
What you'll need to succeed
Ideally you will have a level 2 or level 3 childcare qualification, you MUST have recent experience within the last 5 years of working in either a school or nursery setting. As you are working with children, you must be a confident, bubbly individual and have good communication skills. Usually you would be required across all age groups, therefore be happy to work across the ages of babies through to pre school and primary ages
