Proactive Personnel Ltd are currently recruiting for our client based in Sheffield for an experienced Heavy plant mechanic.
This is a straight permanent role directly with the client.
You will be required to diagnose problems, maintain, repair and service heavy recycling plant equipment at two sites in the local area.
The successful candidate will have all the relevant qualifications and a minimum of 5 years experience within the mechanical engineering industry with a good knowledge of hydraulics, electrics and engines. Experience working on shredders, loading shovels and 360s would be advantageous but not essential. Some welding experience would also be an advantage.
The successful candidate will need to be flexible, have a can-do attitude and be able to manage their time efficiently along with working to tight deadlines.
Monday to Friday with weekend working (alternate days 5.00am start with an approx. 3.00pm finish, then 7.00am 4.30pm)
£17.50 per hour, time and a half after 38 hours.
