My client based in St Ives Cambridgeshire is currently recruiting for a Senior Estimator to join their team on a full time permanent basis.

Monday - Friday 8:30-5:30.

Salary £35-40,000

The successful candidate will report directly to the Operations Director, and the role will include:

· Discussing clients requirements alongside the Sales team

· Interpreting clients drawings and specifications

· Working with our production team to determine a manufacturing process and production times.

· Creating a Bill of Materials

· Working with our supply chain to source parts and sub-contract activities

· To compile costings and detailed proposals

· To work with the Sales team to promote proposal to client.

· To handover project to purchasing and production on successful delivery of proposal

· To support production and purchasing throughout project as required

· To manage and develop estimating staff and department.

The successful candidate will be:

· Experienced as an estimator within the manufacturing industry.

· Accurate and numerate with great attention to detail.

· Technically and commercially aware, and able to understand and interpret drawings and other information.

· Competent in compiling detailed quotations.

· Able to manage their own workload, and that of their department, and achieve set deadlines.

· A good communicator

· Able to work with minimal supervision.

· Be pro-active.

· Be versatile.
