Prospero Teaching are looking to recruit experienced or newly qualified primary teachers for supply work in both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 schools in Portsmouth and the surrounding areas.

We offer day to day, long-term and permanent work opportunities to local teachers at local schools and have been doing so successfully for many years.

Typical cover teacher duties include:

Teaching classes using the provided lesson plans and mark any work completed on that day.
Adding value to the education of the children under your supervision.
Making sure all students are safe and have a secure learning environment.
Maintaining professional standards and following school policy in relation to behaviour management.Cover Teacher Requirements include:

Qualified teacher status (QTS).
A flexible approach to working in various environments.
Knowledge of current curriculum and good behaviour management.
Ideally some experience of delivering pre-planned lessons (although ECT's will be considered).
If you have your own transport, it will increase the range of schools you can be offered work at.Supply teachers play an invaluable part in everyday school life and many people find that the variety and flexibility that supply work offers them allows them the freedom to explore other ventures as well as maintaining a work life balance that suits their own circumstances.
