Job Title: SEND Early Years Teacher (Part Time)

Location: Wakefield, West Yorkshire

Contract Type: Part Time (2 ½ days a week)

Leader Education are recruiting a Early Years specialist to work at a small SEND provision based in Wakefield. The ideal candidate will have QTS as well as experience in "working with children aged 2-4 years old with complex needs and severe learning disabilities.

The school is open Monday-Friday 8:30am until 3:30pm and requires a Teacher to be with them at least 2 and a half days a week. This is a long term position for at least 1 full academic term.

The successful candidate will have:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
Experience working with children with complex SEND needs, particularly those with severe learning difficulties, preferably in an early years setting.
Strong understanding of child development, SEND legislation, and evidence-based teaching strategies for children with additional needs.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
Resilience, patience, and empathy to support children facing significant challenges, coupled with a proactive and solution-focused approach.
