Job Description

Piping Engineer - Key Responsibilities:

* Coordinate 3D activities and provide technical expertise

* Select the right support concept for the piping line

* Design and model piping supports in 3D

* Incorporate design changes into the 3D model

* Offer technical advice and make corrections to the 3D model

* Perform 2D-3D checks and clash reviews

* Produce draft isometrics for checking

Qualifications

Essential knowledge, Skills, Qualifications & Experience:

* Degree in Mechanical Engineering

* Proven experience working in an equivalent / related role in the construction industry.

* Meticulous and rigorous approach to engineering to achieve high professional standards.

* Good communication skills allowing positive streams with key stakeholders.

* Proven ability to successfully deliver engineering safely to the correct quality, time and cost in a fast paced, schedule driven environment.

* Ability to work autonomously but with awareness of own limitations.

* Knowledge of contractual and commercial mechanisms.

Desirable knowledge, Skills, Qualifications & Experience:

* Chartered Engineer with relevant engineering institute.

* Detailed understanding of piping design and operations.

* Working knowledge of French language an advantage.

* Good knowledge of CDM Regulations.

Key Competencies

* Problem solving and finding solutions.

* Writing skills to allow the issuance of technical documentation.

* Technical competences to coordinate and perform some surveillance on the Contractor deliverable.

* Ability to communicate complex topics in a simple and understandable way to a range of stakeholders.
