NES Fircroft are currently looking for a Fabricator to join our Clients Fabrication Facility in Altens, Aberdeen. This is a PAYE contract position, with a possibility of long-term / permanent work. Minimum 37.5hrs per week with plenty of overtime (1.5x and 2x).

Role Specific responsibilities:

Marking out from approved drawings
Burn out fittings using ether burning / plasma cutting techniques
Make templates
Prepare plate edges
Machine cut thick plate bar and structural sections
Produce holes by hydraulic punching machine
Use heat for bending, forming and straightening plate and rolled sections
Form thick plate
Form rolled steel sections
Use of power tools (grinders) in the preparation of materials.
Use of welding tools and equipment for fairing up plate
Maintaining and checking own small tools and equipment
Knowledge of safety precautions and risks associated with tasks
Must stop any work that is considered to be unsafe
Must put own safety and those of colleagues first
Must start work only after assessing the risks
Must demonstrate safety as an integral part of their jobQualifications:

Recognised Apprenticeship or demonstrable experience of Fabrication
