Maintenance Assistant

Our Maintenance Team here at this 40bed Care Home in Kings Lynn takes pride in maintaining their buildings and gardens to the highest possible standards. The quality and appearance of our care home and their grounds create the first impression for visitors and are a source of enjoyment and great pleasure for the residents and their families.
You will be working between 16-20hrs per week , including alternate weekends.
A valid driving licence is essential
You will be involved in all types of property refurbishment and maintenance including painting & decorating, basic plumbing, like for like electrical work and tiling. The ideal person must be self-driven, able to meet deadlines, have the ability to problem solve and complete a wide variety of tasks on their own as well as of part of a team.
Key Responsibilities of a Maintenance Person:
* Ensure that the home, equipment and gardens are maintained to a high standard and remain fully functional to our residents and visitors.
* Carry out maintenance work on the homes grounds, gardens and building externals to produce an aesthetically pleasing, well maintained and safe environment.
* Ensure that all tools and equipment are maintained and safely secured at all times.
* Ensure that all work undertaken is with full consideration to the comfort, security and sensitivity of the residents.
