An opportunity has become available for a Surface Mount Technician to join a specialist electro-mechanical manufacturer based in East Manchester. The company specialises in the energy sector and works with well-known blue-chip companies, globally.
Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced SMT Operator to work in their busy production department.

* £12.00 - £14.00 per hour
* Monday Thursday 7:00 am 3:30 pm / Friday 2:30 pm finish

What will you be doing as a Surface Mount Machine Operator?
* Setting up and operating SMT pick and place machines
* Using automatic solder screen printers
* Creating and editing SMT programs ready for assembly
* Using 3D AOI to ensure product quality
* Ensure Route Cards are filled out accurately
What do you need?
* Knowledge and SMT pick and place Machines
* Electronic manufacturing experience / electronic component recognition
* Knowledge of IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 preferred
* Yamaha I-Pulse experience advantageous
* Understanding of batch traceability requirements
* Have excellent numeracy, literacy, planning and organisational skills
* Ability to thrive in a high pressure environment
* Have a meticulous and efficient work ethic
