Sarah's Carers are currently seeking a confident, pro-active live-in carer for our 89 year old male client based in Badingham, Suffolk .
We are looking for a live in carer that is happy to work a regular 2-3 week rotation.
The client was admitted to hospital earlier in the year and spent 4 weeks in hospital being treated for Pneumonia and Shingles. The client was then moved onto a rehabilitation ward and finally discharged to continue recovering at home.
He suffers with breathing difficulties due to Respiratory Failure. Due to his health, he has lost some of his mobility and has lost weight, however he is stable and requires a live-in carer to try and promote his independence with aspects of daily life.The client has full mental capacity and he really likes to be involved with his care. He is a great lover of food, so it's very important for him to be able to assist the Live-in Carer when they are cooking his meals and he is also very particular about other aspects of his routine.
The client lives in a rural property with his wife and we are looking for a Live-in carer who is happy to have the wife involved with all aspects of the clients daily life. Due to the rural location, a driver is essential.
The client is able to walk using a walking frame, although this is for exercise intended use only and when he is tired he does use a wheelchair.
The client administers his own medication. However, he does require assistance with aspects of personal care and assisting with catheter care. The client also has a carer to come in and visit to help the Live-in Carer with the morning and evening routine.
Pay Rate: £108 per day
Travel Expenses: Up to £50
Location: Badingham, Suffolk
Requirements:
1 year live-in care experience
DBS registered with update service
Up to date mandatory training
UK Driving Licence
