Variable Speed Drive Service Engineer

Job description

We have an opportunity for a full time Variable Speed Drive Field Service Engineer, amongst a small but pro-active team who work closely with the largest manufacturer of ABB VSD's. The candidate must be willing to travel within Yorkshire, Humberside and Manchester areas and have a good technical knowledge of variable speed drives and a good knowledge of VSD applications, as well as having good customer service skills.

To qualify we expect you to have the following:

Electrical Engineering Qualification and/or Experience in working with Variable Speed Drives, the ability to fault find and program/understand drive parameters

Customer Service Skills

Driving License

You will be working within a small team of people who specialize in ABB, we have been trading for over 26 years and have a strong client base within a variety of different industries. Our engineers work to a very high standard, providing the best solution to our clients. We believe the right candidate will also gain a wealth of knowledge working closely to our team and ABB.

Benefits and renumeration

Base salary 35k-40k depending on experience
Call out rota currently 1 in 5 £250.00 p/w to be on call then OT@1.5xtime if onsite
OT over 40hrs @ 1.5 x time
OT Sundays/banck holidays 2.0x time
OT if called out to non contract customer, (choice of engineer)

Holiday 22 days + 8 Bank holidays + 4 compulsory hols at Christmas (total 34)

Vehicle (commercial ) usually a van inc private use
Phone including private use (i-phone)
Tools provided if not in personal collection
Office is at Pudsey Leeds
Paid door to door when on site
Office time is only paid time in the office (to start with for training there will be considerable time in the office once fully fledged minimal time in the office
