Quality Lead
Salary: up to circa £55k per annum (DOE)
Location: Telford
Hours: Monday Friday 37.5 hrs early finish on a Friday (Flexi-time)

We are working with a market-leading manufacturing organisation who are looking to bring in a Quality Lead to develop, implement and maintain quality standards and processes within the operations. This is a new role for the business and therefore would give you the opportunity to really make your own mark on the development of the Quality team and really drive a new quality culture across the business. You will me managing a small quality team initially but there is no doubt that this will grow as the business does.
The Quality Lead will be responsible for:
* Develop and implement quality control processes and procedures
* Leading, coaching and mentoring the quality team
* Performing internal audits and implement solutions for any non-conformances
* Manage supplier quality and goods inwards inspection processes
* Perform root cause analysis and implement preventative measures
* Work closely with the customer team to ensure any customer quality issues are resolved and preventative measures are implemented
Skills and Experience
* Previous experience as a Quality Manager / Senior Quality Engineer / Quality Lead type role
* Strong understanding and experience of metal manufacturing processes either from metal fabrications and/or machining
* Strong knowledge and understanding of ISO 9001 quality management systems
* Lead Auditor training for ISO 9001 would be ideal but not essential
* Knowledge of problem-solving tools and techniques along with quality control methodologies
