The Role

The Assistant Management Accountant will be an integral part of the accounting and finance team, providing key financial insights to support the strategic direction of the organisation. The role requires a strong understanding of finance and accounting principles, with a focus on producing accurate financial reports and forecasts.

Responsibilities

Supporting the preparation of month end accounts.

Posting accruals and prepayments

*

Balance sheet reconciliations

*

Intercompany reconciliations

*

Supporting the delivery of variance analysis to budget

*

Supporting Ad-hoc projects, as well as always looking to improve processes and controls.

*

Providing support to the wider finance team

*

Collaborating with other departments to improve financial processes

*

Participating in internal and external audits

The Candidate

A successful Assistant Management Accountant should have:

*

A degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field

*

Professional certification or working towards (ACCA/CIMA or equivalent)

*

Proficiency in financial management software

*

Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

*

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

*

Ability to work effectively within a team and independently
