Job Role: HGV Mechanic
Location: Edinburgh
Pay: £45,000 - £55,000
Shift: Days
Overtime: Paid at 1.5 and double time

HGV Mechanic opportunity

My client is a fleet maintenance company based in Edinburgh who have been established for over 50 years. They ensure the highest standards in health and safety whilst providing excellent service to their clients. Due to their continued success they are now looking for a skilled HGV Mechanic to join their ever growing team.

HGV Mechanic duties:

Working in a team of highly skilled and experienced HGV Mechanics on a mixed fleet of commercial vehicles, the successful applicants will be required to undertake all aspects of vehicle maintenance and repair, your duties will include;
Vehicle inspections.
General servicing and pre-planned maintenance.
Reactive maintenance as required.
MOT preparation / Presentation.
Correction of running defects.
General HGV Mechanic duties HGV Mechanic experience:
Be a qualified HGV Mechanic with City & Guilds / NVQ qualifications
Be able to undertake all aspects of commercial vehicle maintenance and repair
A Commercial vehicle driving licence is a benefit for this role
Must have a strong knowledge of a variety of trucks and trailers
Previous experience working as an HGV Mechanic Next steps
