Our client is a privately owned civil engineering sub-contractor that provides Groundwork and Reinforced Concrete Frame solutions to Tier 1 Main Contractors within the Commercial, Retail, Leisure and Education sectors. They are looking for an experienced Bid Manager to join the team in Hertfordshire.
Duties and Responsibilities
Report to a Pre-Construction Director
Lead the bid team in the tender process working to deliver the client's requirements
Develop, share and manage a bid execution plan to ensure that the appropriate resources are available
Work with the operational, commercial and planning teams to ensure the second stage of the tender is prepared on programme
Ensure compliance with all tender requirements, regulations, and industry standards
Manage the client and stakeholder relationships throughout the bid process, ensuring a successful hand over to the delivery teams when a project goes to site
Provide innovative and alternative solutions, with a strong technical understanding
Monitor bid progress and review technical submissions
Chair bid meetings
Present tender proposals
Experience Required
You will ideally be educated to degree level in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
Must have previous experience within bid management
Be able to demonstrate the successful management of complex bids within the reinforced concrete frame and groundworks sectors
Able to work to deadlines, delivering challenging tender programmes
Have engaging and effective interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
Works with a highly collaborative style with the ability to respond quickly and effectively
