Senior Quantity Surveyor

We are currently seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor with a strong background in Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) engineering to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the cost management of our projects, ensuring efficient budgeting, procurement, and financial control throughout the construction process.

Responsibilities:

* Prepare accurate cost estimates, bills of quantities, and tender documents for M&E projects.

* Conduct detailed cost analysis and value engineering exercises to optimize project costs without compromising quality.

* Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure cost-effective procurement of materials and services.

* Monitor project expenditure against budgets and forecasts, identifying and addressing any deviations in a timely manner.

* Evaluate variations, claims, and change orders, providing accurate cost assessments and recommendations.

* Provide regular progress reports to stakeholders, highlighting cost performance and potential risks.

* Participate in project meetings and negotiations, offering valuable insights and support to achieve project objectives.

* Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to M&E quantity surveying.

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or a related field.

* Minimum of 5 years of experience in quantity surveying, with a focus on Mechanical & Electrical projects.

* Strong understanding of construction contracts, procurement methods, and cost control principles.

* Proficiency in relevant software tools such as CostX, BIM, and Microsoft Excel.

* Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.

* Effective communication and negotiation abilities.

* Professional certification or membership (e.g., RICS) is desirable but not essential.
