Willo Education are working with various nurseries in the Leamington Spa area who are looking for Nursery Practitioners / Nursery Assistants to join their team. We are currently taking applicants for full time and part time placements and permanent opportunities are available for the right candidates.
The successful candidate will contribute a high standard of physical, emotional, social, and intellectual care for all children of any setting. To give support to other team members throughout the nursery. To work as part of a team in order to provide an enabling environment in which all individual children can play, learn, and develop. You must also be adaptable and flexible. All of the nurseries we work with require cover from baby room up to pre school so you may also be required to provide personal care. i.e changing of nappies.
To Be considered for this role you must have:
* Right to work in the UK
* DBS on the update service (we can apply for a new one if required)
* Minimum 6 months experience working with children.
* Have a level 2 or 3 in childcare of equivalent to.
* Be able to provide x2 sufficient references.
Your duties will include:
* Create activities that meet the individual needs and interests of children in your area in conjunction with other team members.
* Engage in good team working.
* To be flexible within working practices of the nursery. Be prepared to help where needed, including to undertake certain domestic jobs within the nursery, e.g., preparation of snack meals, cleansing of equipment etc.
* Work alongside the Nursery Manager and staff team to ensure that the nurserys philosophy is fulfilled.
* Recording accidents via the Nursery system
* To respect the confidentiality of all information received for both children & staff.
* To ensure that mealtimes are a time of pleasant social sharing and educational for the children.
* Washing and changing children as required cover may be required for other rooms where needed.
* To ensure good standards of safety, hygiene and cleanliness are maintained at all times adhering to the nursery standards and deep cleans weekly.
* To develop and maintain strong partnerships and communications with parents/carers to facilitate day-to-day caring and early learning needs.
