Assisted Living Property Manager
Our client is a company who design and build sustainable communities and they are just opening an new assisted living resident home in the Sheerwater area of Woking.
They are looking for an Assistant Living Property Manager to manage the new residential care home (very light touch levels of care) and some general property management of their wider property portfolio. This role is Monday to Friday working 37.5 hours a week however flexibility will be required.
Our client offers 25 days holiday, subsidised town centre parking, option private care insurance and a contributory pension.
Your key duties will include:
* Management and delivery of the Care, Welfare and Support services to residents within the site.
* Ensure all tenancies are managed to a high standard
* Ensure all servicing is undertaken and recorded
* Ensure repairs and maintenance are completed to a high standard
* To promote well-being and provide one to one support to residents undertaking regular tenancy visits the resident in need to enable living independently.
* To be able to advise residents to the full range of supporting networks, including benefits, financial, health, wellbeing and mental health agents.
* Assist the team in advertising properties, moving in and moving out procedures of residents.
* Effective voids management and lettings to ensure minimal vacancy periods to achieve 100% occupancy levels.
* Management of the housing portfolio. The post holder will be a lead member of an extended team and responsible for the successful preparation, advertising and suitable letting of property.
* In the event of an emergency situation to attend and support with remedial measures.
* Responsible for an events and activities budget
* Responsible for rental income and arrears management and control.
Skills/ Experience
* A minimum of 3 years Care and Support environment experience
* Private sector housing management experience.
* Experience and knowledge of housing and tenancy law
* Experience and knowledge of housing standards
* Experience and knowledge of general Health and Safety Law
* Computer literate, excellent Word, PowerPoint, Excel and MS Project skills
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* A general knowledge of building maintenance and contractor management
* A driver with a car
