Our client is a long-established global company supplying specialist security products for various organisations worldwide.
They are currently seeking a number of Mechanical fitters to join their busy team at their modern assembly site near Biddulph. These positions are to work on a major project and are temporary for approximately 6 months with the possibility of becoming permanent for the right candidates
The main purpose of the role is to assemble and build various mechanical sub-assemblies to contribute to the production of the finished complex machine.
Responsibilities
* Interpret mechanical drawings and follow the instructions of the team leader both verbally and written
* Apply relevant mechanical/fitting skills and experience to carry out tasks as required
* Use of hand tools, including grinders, drills, saws etc
* Ensure all health & safety procedures are followed
Requirements
* A team player working with other disciplines to progress the job
* Flexible approach
* Willing to work overtime where neccescary
* Some experience in a similar role
