HSE Advisor Urgent Staff or Contract- Cheshire Chemical / Petrochemical / Refinery / Oil& Gas / Paper / Renewables- Operator

Lead best practice and implement health, safety and environmental standards, codes of practice, safe systems of work and new initiatives and programmes.

Establish, record, report and develop UK and Group HSE related KPIs.

Oversee HSE inspections and quality audits (including legal compliance audits) in all workplaces including customer audits / site inspections

Represent HSSE network forums and initiatives.

Represent UK AB in relevant trade association forums.

Maintain, develop and continually review the UK Management Systems (in line with the Management System) to ensure they satisfy the requirements of ISO45001, ISO14001 and support to ISO9001.

Liaison with environmental (SEPA ; WBC; UU) and safety (Health & Safety Executive) regulators and other relevant external organisations to ensure compliance with required standards and legislation.

Lead investigate incidents and accidents then oversee the implementation of improvements and corrective actions utilising reporting system Synergi Life.

Identify, coordinate, deliver and monitor HSE required training.

Ensures environmental monitoring and reporting requirements are identified, completed and met.

Support in the provision and review of safety critical procedures for safety critical tasks including the UK Permit to Work system, Management of Change and Task Risk Assessments.

The job holder will take part in the review, completion and approval of risk assessments, hazard identification, HAZOPs and other safety procedures as well as supporting the company in meeting legislative requirements, company policy and other safety related duties.

Undertake Health and Safety reviews and management of change on engineering projects, in accordance with agreed working practices and group standards, appraising the relevant risks, processes and controls to identify opportunities for improvement.

Devise and implement specific tools, processes and interventions (including risk management frameworks and audit methodologies) appropriate for the business.
