A highly sought-after opportunity to work with the UKs leading commercial shopfitting company. Having been established for over 20 years they pride themselves on the quality of their work and have established a reputation for their high-quality projects from conception through to completion within the retail, hospitality and leisure sectors.
Due to a couple of staff retiring after having long illustrious careers with my client they now have opening for two new Contracts Managers.
You will have the opportunity to work a variety of projects ranging from £5,000 - £3M with a number of well-known clients within the pub and restaurant industry.
This is a predominantly office-based role but site visits will be required at times.
The Duties
* Managing project teams.
* Producing project plans and setting programme targets.
* Working with the commercial team to ensure project financial targets are met.
* Responsible for health, safety and environmental standards being implemented and maintained.
* Development and training of staff.
* Reading and interpreting drawings and specifications.
* Continually view programmes, plans, budgets, and preliminaries. Analyse findings, assess their impact and take corrective action where necessary.
* Manage sub-contract and in house operatives in the most effective manner.
* Ensure as built drawings documentation, operating and maintenance manuals are prepared and distributed/archived.
* Responsible for project safety, cost, and quality.
* Liaise with client's and Stakeholders on site, providing excellent customer service to meet and exceed the client's expectations.
* Identify the quality expectations and embrace these in the Quality Plan. Implement measures to ensure compliance with the customer requirements and project business plan.
* Secure and manage the appropriate resources to deliver the project / scheme effectively and efficiently in a professional manner to ensure successful delivery within project constraints.
* Establish a communications plan including information management procedures for the project and agree accountabilities for team members.
The Requirements
* Previous Contracts Management experience working on bar and restaurant fit out projects.
* Valid CSCS
* Detailed knowledge of construction methods and technology
* Strong people management skills
* Strong commercial acumen
* Ability to plan and programme construction projects.
* Good communication skills both written and verbal.
* IT literate.
