SQL DBA / Database Administrator - Birmingham/Hybrid

My client is looking to recruit a SQL DBA / Database Administrator who will be responsible globally for the development, management, operation and full lifecycle of all SQL services. This includes, but not limited to DevOps, SQL server configuration and performance, web application infrastructure and support, reporting infrastructure, Single sign-on and Azure Services.

SKILLS

* Knowledge of ALL native SQL high-availability and disaster recovery options including Always-On, Mirroring, Replication, Log Shipping and Clustering.
* Extensive administration and understanding of SQL Server SQL Analysis Services (SSAS), Integration Services (SSAS) and Reporting Services (SSRS). Ability to query databases using T-SQL and troubleshooting scripting issues.
* Deep knowledge and strong experience of managing web farm infrastructure, including load balancing best practices.
* Ability to perform SQL Server migrations, database migrations and web application migrations. Experience in migrations to SQL Azure Paas services are desirable.
* Highly skilled at analytical and problem solving with the ability to provide practical and creative solutions. Understanding of DevOps CI/CD processes, monitoring and automation skills.
