£50,000 - £60,000 + Car / Allowance

A highly sought-after opportunity to work with one of the leading multidisciplinary construction companies within the UK. Due to an increase in workload and projects coming on board, my client has identified the need for a new Quantity Surveyor. The successful candidate will be working on a variety of projects within the hospitality, residential and industrial sectors.

The successful candidate will be supported by our full team committed to your development and progression. Ultimately you will be responsible for managing 2-3 projects at a time dependant on project size. You will undertake all commercial and contractual requirements, ensuring sound financial performance, preparation of accurate and detailed monthly cost reports. You will have a good working knowledge and application of Main and sub-contract accounts.

This job will entail working nationwide on a variety of projects which can range from £500,000 - £10M. Accommodation and expenses will be covered whilst you are working away.

The Duties

As a Design Project Manager, you will take responsibility for project delivery during preconstruction after contract award through to commencement on site. Your key responsibilities will include:

* Main contract Final Account settlement

* Cost forecasting

* Legal and contractual compliance

* Negotiation of main and subcontract costs

* Subcontract variation and change management.

* Subcontract final account settlement

* Holding pre-let meetings and produce minutes.

* CVR reporting.

The Requirements

* Proven Estimating / Quantity Surveying experience working with a main contractor.

* Relevant qualifications within Quantity Surveying.

* Exceptional written and spoken English skills.

* Self-motivated personality.

* Attention to detail with a right first-time attitude.

* Organisation and time management skills.
