Summary:

Our client are looking for a Management Accountant to join the growing central finance team. The Management Accountant will be detail-orientated and analytical, with an in depth understanding of current accounting principles. This role will be based in Corby, Northamptonshire with most of the Finance team in the new offices in Corby. The team currently have a headcount of 9, split across the Groups various locations.

Roles and responsibilties:

To work alongside the Chief Finance Manager and Financial Accountant to assist with day-to-day tasks
Completing Management Accounts for all of our clients entities (currently 6)
Preparing financial statements including P&L accounts, cash flows, variance analysis and commentaries
Ensure compliance with all financial regulations.
Review accounting processes and practises and improve where necessary to ensure efficient financial operations.
Responsible for the production of accounts for the yearly audit and liaising with auditors where required.
Supervision of fixed asset financial information in line with accounting policies.
Monitoring spending and budgets
Forecast and plan future spending and budgets.
Recommend ways to reduce costs and increase profits.
Complete monthly General Ledger reconciliations and follow up on queries where required to ensure that the regular balance sheet reconciliations for accruals and prepayments are complete and accurate.
Month-end close processing (journals, balance sheet and P&L reconciliations) and coordinating with various entities.Experience required:

Bachelors Degree in Finance, Business or a relevant subject (Essential)
Masters Degree in Finance, Business or a relevant subject (Preferred)
Qualified Accountant (ACCA/ CIMA)
Microsoft Office product knowledge (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel etc.)
Three to five years Management Accountant experienceBenefits:
