Senior Revit Engineer / Technician - Engineering Consultancy

A highly sought-after opportunity to work with one of the Scotlands most respected and well-known multi-disciplinary Engineering Consultants. Having been established for over 15 years they pride themselves on the quality of their work and have established a reputation for their high-quality projects from conception through to completion within the industrial, commercial, retail and education sectors.

Due to the continuous growth, they have seen recently they have identified the need for a new Senior Revit Engineer / Technician to help the existing team with the new projects they have taken on.

The successful candidate will need to have extensive experience working on residential; retail; industrial; commercial and mixed-use development projects. They will also need to have experience using BIM on 20+ story projects.

Proficiency in National Design Standards, current legislation and industry design standards including CDM is a must.

The Duties

* Work with other engineering technicians and engineers within the team to develop models and produce general arrangement drawings, sections and details for structures designed by the group.

* Collaborate with architects, building services engineers and other professionals both within the company and with outside companies to ensure that models, drawings, details, schedules, etc are coordinated and developed in accordance with the design programme for deliverables.

* Exercise the skill, care and judgement to be expected of an experienced engineering technician to ensure that structural engineering drawings for which you are responsible are complete, correctly detailed and free from error.

* Take responsibility for checking own work and work produced by others, including external consultants, sub-consultants and contractors, embracing drawings and associated production deliverables.

* Ensure that company document management and QA procedures are complied with.

* Complete work to agreed timescales, programme and budgetary constraints.

The Requirements

* 10+ Years Experience as a Revit Technician working within a Construction environment, ideally gained from a consultancy background.

* Experience working on multi-story (20+) BIM projects.

* Have knowledge of CDM regulations and responsibilities.

* Building structure projects in the UK

* Ability to estimate time required to prepare and complete drawings and to work to agreed deadlines.

* Preferably ONC or HNC or Equivalent in Building Structures or Civil Engineering

* Have an excellent understanding of the scope and requirements of each project.

* Work on your own initiative as well as with colleagues and the wider team on joint projects when required.

* Be capable and willing to follow procedures.

* Have excellent communication skills, able to communicate both verbally and in writing with a variety of personnel
