Job Title: Primary School Teaching Assistant

Location: Cardiff

Salary: £77-85 per day

Contract: Full-time, temporary

Start Date: Monday 8th April 2024

End Date: End of academic year

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a Year 3 team at a lovely primary school in Cardiff. The successful candidate will provide general support in the classroom, working with small groups for reading and writing interventions, and offering 1:1 support when needed.

Key Responsibilities:

Supporting the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
Working with small groups for reading and writing interventions.
Providing 1:1 support to students when required.
Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Requirements:

Previous experience working in a primary school setting.
A passion for working with children and helping them reach their full potential.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Knowledge of intervention strategies for reading and writing.
An enhanced DBS registered on the update service.
Registered with the Education Workforce Council (EWC)
Provide 2 years of references.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
