Senior Electroanalytical Development Scientist

Location: - Central Scotland
Type: Permanent, Full Time
Salary: Competitive
Additional: Company Pension (3% Employee 5% Company), 33 Days Holiday (Including statutory days), Life Insurance, Income Protection, Flexible Working Hours (37.5 Hrs P/W).

Russell Taylor Group is working with a World Leader in Manufacturing and Design who are looking to appoint a Sr Electrochemical Development Scientist at their laboratory in Central Scotland. The ideal candidate will have experience in Electrochemistry, Assays and Sensor Development.

The Role:
Develop electrochemical assays to meet the necessary performance metrics.
Design experiments for assessing and innovating on assays.
Communicating results to both internal teams and external stakeholders.
Improve experimental procedures and train other team members in R&D activities.

The Person:
MSc / PhD Level qualification with a focus on Electrochemical techniques.
Experience in Electrochemical Assay Development.
Experience in Electrochemical Sensor Development / Testing.
Ability to demonstrate previous, high-quality research.

Desirable:
Experience in general safety including risk assessments, COSHH Assessments + maintaining documentation to a high company standard.
Experience in the med-device sector
Experience managing small teams of scientists, engineers, or technicians.
Experience in the development of graphene-based bio-immunoassays
