Jensen Interceptor MkIII

For sale is this most coveted of classics, a 1972 Jensen Interceptor MkIII. I’ve owned this car for 6 years now, which was a childhood dream that’s now been satisfied and as we’re thinking of moving, I need to reduce the number of cars we have.

As you can see from the pictures, the car presents really well, drives superbly and is a real head turner. It’s an honest very straight car with no known rust and much work done in recent years, that you’ll see below. This isn’t a concours exhibition piece, they are upwards of £90k these days, but at well under half that amount, I think this car sits along side such examples very well.

Recently, the car has been at River Bourne Classics (Jensen Specialists Nr Winchester) having a re-con steering rack, together with a few other updates and a new MOT. They have been right through the car and are happy to vouch for the car, if any potential buyers wanted to call them for a reference (speak to Jason Lawrence on 01962 418141).

I don’t have have a massive amount of history for the car, but do have many receipts totalling over £17,000 dating back to 2005. Here are some of the major works carried out:

In summary, this is an extremely presentable solid car with 77k miles that drives really well and ready to go with nearly a year’s MOT. It is a 50 year old car now, so is not perfect and obviously comes with a few niggly faults, like the air con doesn’t work and neither does the central locking - those types of things. If you’re looking for an exhibition piece, this is not the car for you. However, if you’re looking for something to use, enjoy and fettle at the weekends, this is the perfect car!
