Agricultural Service Engineer TR150
Salary: Permanent - Realistic £40,000 earnings or more (£28,000 to £34,000 basic plus bonus & lots of overtime) Full benefits listed below.
Location: Haverfordwest , easily commutable from Tenby , St Clears , Fishguard , Milford Haven , Pembroke
An additional, very interesting Agricultural Service Engineer role has just been created to expand a well established and busy team.
Agricultural Service Engineer role:
*
This role will involve working on a diverse range of high specification equipment including tractors and combines.
*
The work will reflect practical mechanical repair skills using a wide range of hand and power tools. If you have the skills now, you will be working on engine/gearbox systems , hydraulics , pneumatics, basic electrical looming, PTO, GPS and PLC systems. If you don't have those more technical skills theyll be trained over time.
*
There is a mix of work between the workshop and in-field. Jobs will be within a reasonable distance (c. 40 miles) from Haverfordwest.
*
You will have the back-up of an exceptionally efficient support team and spares system.
*
Excellent opportunities for progression through technical training and/or management development.

Skills required for the Agricultural Service Engineer role:
*
You should ideally have solid agricultural machinery field service experience. Alternatively, experienced mechanics or service engineers of construction plant, FLT , LGV or PCV can be re-trained.
*
You should have strong problem-solving ability and be resourceful to effect sound repairs.
*
Good practical mechanical repair skills using hand/power tools are the core of the role. Experience of the above mentioned skills would be an advantage but can/will be trained,

You should have good all-round communication and interpersonal skills in order to provide a high standard of service to Customers.

You should be able to read vehicle based drawings, manuals and instruction
*
You need to be well organised in terms of post-job admin and ensuring your van is appropriately stocked with tools, spares and consumables.
*
You must have a full driving licence.
