Purchasing Manager,
Lancashire, UK
£45,000- £50,000 per annum + Bonus, Car Allowance

Calling all hands-on Purchasing Managers with experience managing purchasing department, purchasing raw materials and working closely with suppliers in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

Contribute to the Company strategy by setting departmental objectives aligned to the overall vision with a focus on the on-going development of the purchasing strategy
Focus on product cost reduction, savings and efficiencies
Responsible for price and contract negotiation
Leading, coaching and developing the Purchasing team
Working as part of the site Leadership team

Skills & Experience Required

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Proven hands-on purchasing experience
CIPS Level 5 qualification or above is preferred
Proficient in supplier sourcing, vender appraisals and price negotiation
