Here at The Job People, we are looking for a PSV Chargehand to join our Luton Depot. The role is permanent, and you will be required to work any 5 from 7 rotating AM & PM shifts.

£21.64 per hour - 39 hours per week

To assist the Engineering Manager and Team Leaders with the running of an efficient & effective engineering operation that meets the targets set out by the business and delivers the brand promise "committed to delivering a better service''.

The role as a PSV Chargehand will involve:

Servicing, maintenance, and repairs to the company and DVSA standards
Continuous improvement of vehicle reliability
MOT preparation, planned preventative maintenance campaigns and quality checks.
Vehicle fault diagnosis and ensuring reliability and maintenance is kept to Arriva Standards (Higher than DVSA)Requirements for a PSV Chargehand:

Level 3 NVQ/IRTEC Qualification (Or equivalent)
Knowledge of PSV or HGV maintenance
Knowledge of engineering procedures and Health & Safety legislation
Inspection of vehicles for the scheduled maintenance - Desirable but not essential
Electrical circuits and systems knowledge - Desirable but not essential
A full UK driving licence (6 points or less) - essential
Ability to be passed fit for a PCV pre-employment medical - essential.What we can offer you as a PSV Chargehand in Luton:
