Production Planner

£35k, Ripon area, 33day hols, bonus, discount scheme, pension, life assurance, flexible hours

Production Planner required for a global FMCG manufacture in the Ripon area.

A great opportunity for someone from fast passed manufacturing background to undertake a full role encompassing production, NPD, 3PL demand and forward planning.

As the Production Planner, you will be responsible for working with production, supply chain and logistics to ensure on time delivery to customers your day-to-day role will include:

Managing the changing demand of your customers on a day to day, hour by hour basis
Managing stock to ensure order fulfilment and end of life cycle products to ensure minimum waste.
Working with both third-party logistics providers, warehousing and production teams to ensure inventory levels are maintained.
Working on the business forecast, and current stock position to construct a monthly demand plan.
Analysing and reporting on service level measures
Working to drive improvement in delivery and operational efficiency.
Attending client meetings to review service levels
Own transport essential due to location

As the Production Planer you will:

Ideally come from an FMCG background or similar
Be resilient and have experience of working in a past paced, client focused demanding environment.
Experience planning multiple lines and product, multi-site planning would be a bonus.
Have knowledge of production processes and supply chain
Have confident IT skills, with MRP or ERP experience.
Have been involved with new product launches. 'Run In/Run Out' of products.
Understand 3PL operation and warehouse capacity constraints.
Sales and operations and integrated business planning is essential
Excel knowledge using look up and pivot tables [intermediate level].
Good people skills and able to interact with people at all levels [Operators/Line Leaders/Senior Site Managers/Exec Team]
Have working in a contributed to a Continuous Improvement culture
