Major Recruitment are looking for experienced Mechanical Fitters to work with our client in the Sunderland area. Our Client is an International company with over 70 years of operations.

As a Mechanical Fitter, your daily responsibilities will be as follows:

Mechanical manufacturing (engineering).
Work to deadlines.
Working overtime as and when required (Including weekend work when needed).
Knowledge of overhead crane operating / slinging(or be willing to learn).
Comfortable and competent working at height.
Working on your own initiative as well as part of a team.
Working safely.
Ability to read drawings.
Hydraulics.
Working inside the assembly area and outside in all weather conditions. To be considered for this position, you must have a minimum level 3 NVQ or equivalent in Mechanical Fitting and relevant experience.

The role is a full time position working Monday to Friday and overtime as and when required, which may include weekend working.

Rates of pay:

Mon-Fri £15.95/hour

Sat-Sun £23.93/hour
