Job Summary:

As a CNC Miller Programmer/Setter/Operator, you will be responsible for programming, setting up, and operating CNC milling machines with Mazak or Fanuc controls. Your expertise in aerospace and nuclear product manufacturing, along with your ability to work to close tolerances and read engineering drawings, will be instrumental in producing components that meet our rigorous quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

CNC Programming: Develop and optimize CNC milling programs using Mazak or Fanuc controls based on engineering drawings, CAD models, and other technical specifications.

Machine Setup: Set up CNC milling machines, including loading materials, fixtures, and tools, and calibrating machine settings to achieve precise results.

Operation: Safely and efficiently operate CNC milling machines to fabricate aerospace and nuclear components, adhering to production schedules and quality requirements.

Quality Control: Perform in-process inspections to verify part conformity to engineering drawings and close tolerances, making necessary adjustments when required.

Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve issues related to CNC milling operations, tool wear, or machine malfunctions, ensuring minimal downtime and maintaining production efficiency.

Maintenance: Collaborate with the maintenance team to perform regular machine maintenance and cleanliness, ensuring optimal machine performance.

Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols, company policies, and industry regulations to maintain a safe and productive work environment.

Continuous Improvement: Contribute to process improvement initiatives, suggesting ideas to enhance productivity, quality, and efficiency in CNC milling operations.

Documentation: Maintain accurate records of CNC programs, setup sheets, tooling information, and production data.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Proven experience as a CNC Miller Programmer/Setter/Operator, working with Mazak or Fanuc controls in the aerospace and nuclear industries.

Proficiency in CNC programming and operating software, such as Solidworks, Mastercam, CAMWorks, or similar.

Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical documents.

Extensive knowledge of machining processes, cutting tools, and material properties related to aerospace and nuclear product manufacturing.

Demonstrated skill in working to close tolerances and producing high-precision components.

Solid understanding of CNC machine setup, tooling, and machining parameters.

Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.

Commitment to safety, quality, and attention to detail.

Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members, engineers, and supervisors.

Minimum 5 years of experience in CNC milling operations with Mazak or Fanuc controls.

Relevant certifications or technical qualifications are a plus.
