Our well established engineering client based in Glossop, Derbyshire have recently opened an exciting opportunity for skilled CNC Turner programmer/setter/operator to join their expanding team. Vacancies are available for two shift patterns, either 8 hours a day, 5 days a week, or and afternoon/evening shift, 10 hours a day, 4 days

THE ROLE:

* Programming, setting and operating CNC Turning machines, Twin Spindle and Sliding Head Lathes

* Producing components to required tolerances and quality standards, right first time

* Finishing components to the highest quality standards

* Identifying and recommending programme amendments to improve efficiency and/or quality

* Making authorised amendments to CNC programmes to meet component design requirements

* Carrying out quality checks to ensure components meet the required quality standards

THE CANDIDATE

* Experienced CNC Turner programmer, setter and operator, preferably with experience of operating twin spindle and/or sliding head lathe machines

* Experience of programming FANUC controls will be beneficial

* Qualified through apprenticeship or HND

* Able to manufacture precision components from fully understanding engineering drawings in terms of tolerances, surface finish etc.

* Experience of CMM desirable

* Methodical and focused approach to work

* Focused on quality with high level of attention to detail

THE SALARY AND BENEFITS:

* £14.50 to £19.50 Per Hour

* 9:00 - 18:00 Monday to Friday

* 25 Days Plus Bank Holidays

* 40 hours per week

* Permanent contract
