About the Role

We are looking for a multi-skilled craftsman who can work with metal in various ways with the ability to produce the flat pattern, cut form, folding and bend using hand tools to deliver the finished product.

You will play a crucial role in bringing innovative concepts to life through development and testing of prototypes in their rawest form. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of technology and contribute to groundbreaking ideas.

Working within a framework within the Product Development Leaders, you will be responsible for the generation of fulfilling representative prototypes, small batches of components, and appliances from sketches, drawings, and CAD.

Requirements:

* C&G or apprenticeship in sheet metal work and welding together with experience

* Proven experience in prototype development, preferably in a manufacturing environment

* Ability to fabricate, assemble and test prototypes

* Proficiency in CAD software (Solidworks/AutoCad)

* Manipulation of sheet metal (stainless/mild steel/aluminium/enamelling iron)

* Capable of welding (Arc/MIG/TIG/Gas/CO2

* Use of hand tools (bandsaw, guillotine)

* Self-motivated with a passion for innovation and the desire to contribute to cutting edge projects

* Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with internal and external customers
