WasteRecruit are pleased to be supporting a truly innovative sustainability leader in their search for operatives at their brand new, state-of-the-art facility in the West Midlands.

The client is the only processor in the country with the ability to produce this quality of material; and one of only 10 in the world. Able to recycle waste plastic up to a food grade product. The site contains a material recovery facility, washplant and extrusion lines, and require operatives at all levels to operate across the site.

The facility is a 24hour operation, running two 12 hour shifts, and operators will work a 2 day, 2 night, 4 day off shift pattern.

Candidates should be:

- proactive in their work, constantly monitoring the facility and acting upon what they are seeing

- able to make decisions for themselves, determining when to escalate issues, or taking appropriate action to ensure the continued safe and efficient running of the plant

- highly aware of health and safety, able to recognise how they work safely and how their actions will impact others around them

- problem solvers and analytical in determining what needs to be happening during the shift

We are looking for candidates with a range of skills that may include, but not be limited to:

- experience in FLT operations, used to moving around a busy environment

- extrusion operations and the recycling of plastic

- the operation of heavy plant machinery, especially that which is controlled by HMI and/or SCADA systems

- the ability to keep accurate records to help manage targets, traceability and quality

This is a hugely exciting opportunity to join a team at the forefront of waste recycling processes. The client is keen to find candidates who are able to fit into the team, but who are also able to aid in the continuous improvement of the plant. Candidates will be expected to take ownership of their own work and for the facility as a whole, it is expected that they will take pride in their work, and will want to contribute to the overall success of the company.
