Our client, an award-winning development and engineering services company is seeking a Project Engineer (Mechanical/Electrical) to join their team. As a Project Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in managing the mechanical elements of our client's projects, working collaboratively with their dedicated team to ensure seamless project delivery across all stages of the project cycle.
Key Responsibilities for the Project Engineer Role:
* Collaborate with project teams to develop efficient working methods and maintain project profitability.
* Complete mechanical design elements for all company projects.
* Develop specifications and schedules for required equipment.
* Specify job requirements and necessary parts/equipment/materials for project scoping and delivery.
* Formulate realistic project parameters, including design and implementation procedures.
* Manage and oversee project delivery from initial site surveys to final handover, including documentation, costings, proposals, and testing.
* Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
* Maintain accountability and adherence to best practices.
Qualifications and Skills for the Project Engineer Position:
* Bachelors degree in engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
* 3+ years of mechanical design experience, ideally in the UK water sector.
* Strong balance of office and practical experience.
* Excellent communication, team-working, and problem-solving skills.
* Proficiency in mechanical drawings and instructions interpretation.
* Strong project management and organizational skills.
* CAD expertise and experience preferred.
* Field/practical experience is essential.
* Comprehensive understanding and application of CDM and health & safety standards.
* Positive "can-do" attitude with a flexible approach to work.
* Full, clean driving license preferred; CSCS card preferable.
Salary and Benefits for the Project Engineer Role:
* Salary: £45,000-£55,000 (subject to experience and training).
* Company pension scheme.
* 25 days holiday + 8 Bank Holidays.
